The TRS BoomSafe® has been paired with Steelwrist’s automatic hydraulic connection resulting in faster and safer attachment changeovers and eliminating the need for manual intervention.
Operators can now keep crushing plants running seamlessly with BoomSafe®’s automated attachment changeover feature. At the press of a button, BoomSafe® automatically connects, disconnects, and switches between attachments such as hammers, without any manual effort from the operator.

BoomSafe® Features
automated movements
Automated Movement Commands such as ‘Park’, ‘Deploy’, ‘Tool Replacement Position’, ‘Rockbreaker Change Position’ or any other common or difficult movement sequences can be configured and modified by site-based maintenance staff using the user-friendly touchscreen.
Operators can execute the automated movements with a single button press, improving speed and precision. For example, when parking on a small platform, BoomSafe reduces the chance of equipment damage that could easily be caused by operator fatigue or error.
remote operation
Remotely control all of your rockbreaker boom systems from a single workstation. For larger sites, multiple workstations can share control of a group of booms on a first-come first-served basis.
safety and collision prevention
At the heart of BoomSafe is an automated Collision Prevention System allowing your maintenance staff to set up a safe work area where the boom is allowed to operate.
All commands from the local Radio Control or Remote Operation System are supervised by BoomSafe to avoid damage to the boom and surrounding infrastructure and prevent movements which would result in the boom moving outside the safe work area.
BoomSafe’s Operator Assist function automatically corrects and adjusts the human operator-initiated movements to direct the boom back into the safe work area instead of halting the boom operation and requiring further operator intervention to continue.

The newly introduced ‘on-board’ camera feature is an exclusive enhancement to BoomSafe®, setting a new benchmark in operator visibility. As the first of its kind for fixed pedestal boom systems, the camera delivers real-time vision of the hydraulic hammer, enabling operators to better position the working tool to break oversize in crushers and dump pockets. Your site maintenance staff can set up and modify BoomSafe movement sequences and adjust the allowed area of operation when needed.
BoomSafe can also be integrated with other sensor systems on site, such as perimeter safety gates. It also has configurable inputs that can be set up to operate other plant equipment, for example, opening and closing a crusher cover.

If maintenance is required, all BoomSafe components can be replaced in minutes using only hand tools on site without specialist technicians or TRS staff. Sensors are mounted separately to the boom hydraulics and are easily accessible.
With BoomSafe you can set the direction, acceleration, maximum speed, and minimum creep speed for each joint of your hydraulic boom independently. This level of control enhances the boom system’s performance and reduces unnecessary wear and tear on mechanical components.
